The Bechdel Group led by Executive Director Clare Solly. is a collective of upcoming & established playwrights creating works behind the idea of the iconic- Bechdel Test, which focuses on creating new works under the test’s criteria of - (1) the script must have at least two female/ female identifying* are featured, (2) that these women talk to each other, and (3) that they discuss something other than a man. Surprisingly in our society finding plays that passes this test is pretty rare!
DIRTY CLEAN DIRTY CLEAN, is a play centering on the meeting of Julia & Giulia in their dorm’s laundromat at 3:23am where poignant questions like can you fit in a drier and will drinking bleach kill you -get answered?
